It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I LOVE fall.
It's the best season, for sure.
I'm pretty sure it kicks winter, spring, and summer in the hiney.
(How DARE spellcheck tell me that "hiney" is not a word. It is, too!)

Here's how fall is finding its way to our house:

The aspens in our front yard are starting to change!

And so is this tree/bush thing.

The fall wreath is up!
(Yes, I'm one of those people.)

And the table has the appropriate centerpiece.

And Pumpkin candles!
My mother-in-law, Debbie, gave us this one.
So pretty!
I love all things pumpkin.
Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin spice lattes...
I'd probably eat this candle if I were starving.

Oh! And I bought some candy corn yesterday.
Who would've thought that mixing sugar, corn syrup, honey,
and a bunch of artificial yuckness could turn out to be so yummy?!

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...

I present to you...Jack-O-Lantern!!
(Ignore his "cry for help" face. He's fine.)

Alright, Jack, now you're just being dramatic.

The costume certainly has a slimming effect of him.
Maybe because it's made for dogs half his size?

That's all for now!
I hope you're enjoying fall, too!

Here we go again.

Still no real change.

If I'm not going to be able to fit in my regular pants anymore,
I at least want a baby belly to justify it.

Oh well. I'll continue to wait.

Holy Cow!!

Psych! (I first spelled it "sike", but Urban Dictionary said I was wrong.)
I just have an amazing ability to push out my stomach.
Sometimes I do it to try to freak Ben out.
I also really enjoy trying to scare him.
It's sick, I know.

Alright, here's the real picture:
I'm growing, but not in my belly...yet.
There's a slight chance I'm carrying the baby in my butt.
My mom and sister warned me about this.

Wait a second...

Is that a baby bump?
Nope.
Looks exactly the same as last week.
Maybe week 15 is the week?

Day O' Domestic Duties

Well, "duties" isn't really the right word.
I was just trying to use alliteration.
I didn't HAVE to do these things.
I just wanted to.

First, I hung up a clothes line in the backyard.
I've been wanting to do that all summer.
Now, here we are at the very end of it and I'm finally getting around to it.
I'm hoping we notice a difference in our electric bill.

And this was my major project of the day:
I made and canned plum jam and pumpkin butter.
It was quite the process!
And a successful process as all the jars sealed properly.
I'm pretty proud of myself. :)

Big milestone.

I'm now officially in the second trimester!
It's a nice place to be.
