12, 13, and 14 months old

Dear Alice,
I have failed with the monthly posts.
I think it has something to do with moving,
and something to do with you moving.
Combine those things,
and I can't seem to catch my breath.
So, I'll do my best to recap and review these past couple months.

I bought you a vintage picnic basket filled with dishes at a garage sale.
Best $1 I've spent in a long time.

Alice, you change every single day.
We are constantly amazed at all you do.
I hate to admit this,
but you're not a baby anymore.
You're a toddler.

I put you on the scale yesterday.
Almost 19 1/2 pounds!
Goodbye, 5th percentile.
Hello, 10th percentile!

You are such a little girl.
You love wearing necklaces,
playing with dolls and stuffed animals,
taking care of Abby,
and throwing tantrums when you don't get your way.

Still no teeth, little one.
However, it doesn't slow you down one bit.
You ate corn on the cob last night.
Also, you still eat pretty much anything we serve you,
except sushi.
You didn't care for that.

You babble all the time.
Sometimes we are certain you're trying to talk in complete sentences.
However, signing is still the best way for you to communicate your needs.
You sign: more, baby, milk, water, all done, fish, dog, and others I can't recall right now.

Your favorite time of the day is when Daddy comes home from work.
Most days, we sit on the front porch waiting for him to drive up.
You light up when you see his car.
No one can make you laugh like Daddy.
You think he is hilarious.
(I do, too.)

Things you don't like:
diaper changes,
getting in the bathtub,
getting out of the swing,
and any type of non-mama milk.

After months of crying when dropping you off in the church nursery,
you've turned a new leaf and are doing great!
Last week you got the,
"Only baby who didn't cry"
Okay, so I made up that award.
I was so happy to hear that report!

You need a haircut.
I think we're going to breakdown and do it.
Just a little mullet trim.

We think you are so stinkin' cute!
This next picture is one of my favorites of you:

Overnight you went from,
taking 7-8 steps,
to walking all over the place!
You hardly ever crawl now.
You stand up on your own,
change directions,
stop and then keep going,
and bend over to pick things up.
We're both exhausted by the end of the day!
(That's the mullet that needs trimming.)

Okay, I think that's all for now.
We love you so, so, so, so, so much.
We're crazy about you, sweet girl.

Your Mama

Oh, I forgot to include the most important Alice update!
You're sleeping through the night!!!!
We're going on 3 weeks now.
To bed around 6:30pm,
up at around 7am.
It's awesome.

Now if that set is vintage, I guess that makes me vintage! Had it when I was a kid:)
