ten months old!
Here are 10 photos and 10 facts to celebrate being 10 months old today:
1. Fact: You love food.
Beans, yogurt, crackers, fruits, veggies, cheese, eggs, chicken, etc.
No sugar yet.
You can have that in exactly 2 months.
2. Fact: You're happy almost all of the time.
Exceptions being diaper changes, manicures, and the occasional teething pain.
3. Fact: You really like standing.
You still aren't crawling, but rolling tends gets you where you want to go.
4. Fact: You're becoming a great little communicator.
You consistently sign "more", say "da-da", point to things, and imitate what Daddy and I do.
5. Fact: Still no teeth.
Another fact: I'm still okay with that.
6. Fact: You weigh 17 pounds and are 25.5 inches long.
You're still in the 5th-10th percentile range.
You are the perfect size.
7. Fact: You dance!
It's the cutest thing ever.
8. Fact: You still aren't sleeping great.
I'm too tired to elaborate on this right now.
9. Fact: You LOVE your Daddy.
I love watching you watch him walk through the door after work.
I'm pretty sure it's your favorite time of the day.
I'm pretty sure it's mine, too.
10. Fact: I love you so much it makes my heart hurt.
I edited these pictures using the "I'm feeling lucky" option.
Not that I loved the processing, but because that
the way I'm feeling: lucky.
We are so blessed to have you in our lives, sweet Alice.

A few things to share...
1. You can see "a day in the life" of me over at
The Domestic Wannabe
I love Ashley's blog and her little girl, Ryann, is ridiculously cute.
Also, I'm always jealous of the awesome pictures Ashley takes of her.
2. While you're blog hopping, jump on over to visit with my friend,
She also has a ridiculously cute little girl, Norah, who was one of Alice's first friends.
They are in the process of adopting a little one from Korea and are selling some
super cute shirts
to help with funds. Here's a little preview:
3. I greased Alice up this morning.
I read that putting some oil on your baby's scalp can help with cradle cap.
There is some serious dry scalp hiding underneath all that hair.
It kinda grosses me out, so I thought I'd give it a try.

My sweet little niece was born almost 2 weeks ago.
I got to take some pictures of her 8-day-old cuteness.
These are a some of my favorites...
Lilly with her beautiful mama:
Newborn cries are my favorite...like a little lamb.
Welcome to the world, sweet Lilly.
You and Alice are going to be great friends!

Alice and I went to Costco yesterday.
I made the mistake of giving her a bite of lentils, a sample they were passing out.
After she polished off the little cup, she went into lentil withdrawal.
Screaming and signing "more, more, more".
She acted like she hadn't eaten for days.
The girl likes lentils.
So, I bought some.
Then, I let her feed herself.
Why do I never remember a bib until it's too late?
Please excuse our cell phone pictures.
Like how we blasted her with the flashes?
I'm sure she liked it too. :)
If you get a second, could you look back a couple posts to see if you can see the pictures?
It was brought to my attention yesterday that they weren't showing up.
I think I fixed it, but could someone let me know?
They were showing up on my computer the first time, too.

Alice and I went for a hike with the
There was snow on the ground, but the sun quickly warmed us up.
Like our matching hats?
I love living in Colorado!
The Kumquat's Breakfast
Alice's favorite breakfast is french toast.
(Whole wheat bread, soaked in an egg, cooked, and cut into spears.)
She gets so excited when she sees me making it.
She gobbles it down and then excitedly signs "more, more, more, more!"
Last night, Ben gave her some of the Annie's Mac and Cheese he made.
She liked it so much she was licking the cheese off her tray.
He couldn't be more proud. :)
