Klenkes

"Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days."
-Benjamin Franklin

Oh Benny!
You clearly never knew the Klenkes.
Or had friends like them.
You know, friends who can live in your house for a month
and then you cry when they move 3 miles away.
True story.

I couldn't have been happier when Carey told me they were moving back.
Then, she asked if they could stay with us until they bought a house.
Yes, yes, yes, a million times, yes!

You see, if I could have sister wife without the whole polygamy thing,
Carey would be my first pick.
Life is easier when she's around.

In short, the Klenkes lived with us for 30 days and it was 30 days of awesomeness.

Steve, Carey, and Abby are back in Colorado!
All is right with the world again. :)

Hi!

Well hello there!
I pretty much blog as often as I clean my toilets.

I don't have anything too spectacular to say, but I do have some pictures!
----------------------
I told Alice our friends were coming over the following day.
She promptly started filling water cups for them.
Love her.

She worked on this Christmas tree for at least 3 days.
It's cute to see her able to focus on projects for longer periods of time.

Reading with Lilly:

Bedtime story with Iris:

Alice was an angel in her preschool's Christmas program.
Someone captured this sweet shot of her:
For the record, she wasn't a compliant angel.

Ms. Katie, her preschool teacher, made her a preschool photo book.
How awesome is that!?

Sometimes I do things that make me think, "+5 mom points for me!"
This was one of those times:

My dear friend, Stefanie, came to visit.
It was SO good to see her!

This happened:
(She's waiting for Ben to come out of the bathroom.)

Nona got Alice some pajamas with "foot covers".
It's her favorite thing right now.
She excitedly danced around the living room with them.

I wish I could show you more pictures of our little foster baby.
She is SUPER cute!

I've been taking Alice on coffee dates while little S is visiting her mama.
It's so fun.

Alice has started drawing pictures of people.
This is Abby:

I bought a ukelele, the easiest part of learning to play.

Alice has quickly fallen into the role of big sister around here.

And she even lets me take her pictures!
(It's a miracle!)

Ben and I went to court the other day.
(To get a better idea of what's going on with the case with our little foster baby.)
Then, we went to a fancy-to-us lunch date.

Another mama and Alice coffee date:

I love Boulder.
It's things like this that make it so awesome:

So, that's all for now!
All is well in the Bolton household!
