Sleep (as in, the lack of)

Dear Sleep,
I miss you.
Love, Melissa

Clementine is off the hook.
Babies are supposed to wake you up in the night.

Almost 4 year olds are not.

It's a problem.

Alice will get up most nights.
It's not unusual to wake up to nurse Clementine,
check the monitor and see this:
She's just hanging out,
playing with her toys...
AT 3:00 AM!!!
Ridiculous.

She even wrote about it.
It says,
"I don't want to sleep!"

We've tried magnesium,
epsom salt and lavender baths,
diffusing lavender in her room,
consistent schedules,
earlier bedtime,
later bedtime,
afternoon naps,
no afternoon naps,
melatonin,
bribes...
Nothing was working.

Just in the past week we've done no naps or rest time.
(This kills me.)
We're also trying to do something active and outside each day.
I'm thinking it's vitamin D related.
She's slept all night long the past 3 or 4 nights.
Praise Jesus!
