I have some other things I need to catch up on around here,
but wanted to document this day right away.
First, the costumes.
I'm more of a "go pick out a costume from the dress-up box" kind of mom,
than a "what do you want to be for Halloween" kind of mom.
Alice decided to wear her butterfly, so we thought we'd make Clementine into a caterpillar.
A Very Hungry Caterpillar!
Then, the pumpkin.
Alice said, "Mom is the best cleaner in our family, so she should scoop out the pumpkin."
(She's right. I really am the best cleaner in the family. :) )
She drew the face.
Ben carved it.
We just went to some houses on our street and that was perfect!
I LOVED hearing Clementine say, "Twickortweet!"
A picture with our house. :)
Alice couldn't wait to go to this "spooky" house this year.
It was fun to see her see Halloween differently.
Lastly, passing out candy.
This was my favorite part of the whole day!
Clementine went to bed and we sat on the front porch,
cuddled in a blanket,
drinking hot apple cider (a glass of wine for me!),
and passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
Alice kept giggling and saying "THIS IS SO FUN, MOM!"
And it was!
