We've been planning this beach trip for MONTHS!
Then, a few days before we left, there was talk of a huge snowstorm/blizzard.
I was super nervous about it, but kept on with the preparations.
Then, the night before our 6am flight,
we went to Denver to stay in a hotel.
I checked the status of our flight over and over again.
Though airlines were already cancelling flights for the next day, ours was still scheduled to go.
We were up at 3:30am to head to the airport.
The airport was NUTTY.
Our plane had to be de-iced twice.
When we were finally in the air, I cried.
Days of stress, finally lifted!
When we landed in Houston, I saw this:
I'm so thankful we got out!!
We arrived in Florida around noon.
We couldn't wait to drop our bags and head to the beach!
It was their first time seeing the ocean. :)

I love this photo:
Curious, but apprehensive.
Clementine found her first shell:
Then, we walked back to the house to put on proper beach attire. :)
Pre-dinner downtime and wine:
It was such a long day!
I kept saying, "I can't believe we're here!!"
I still can't believe we made it out...just in the nick of time.
